This set is a special treat from December 05's Percussion Lab monthly event. Ezekiel Honig, based out of NYC and head of the Microcosm label, brings us a fantastic slice of warm, minimal, melodic crackles and ambience. Ezekiel's music here is a perfect example of honest, unpretentious minimal electronic music. The off kilter, 4/4 techno flavors give the performance the movement it needs at exactly the right points. Mr. Honig's debut album, "People Places & Things," is still one of our favorite minimal electronic albums of the past five years. Be sure to check out Ezekiel Honig's latest release with Morgan Packard, "Early Morning Migration."
