With this release, out today (9/17/12) on Berlin's InFiné label, Montreal's Downlners Sekt tap into a hybrid style of haunted r'n'b that's equal parts dancefloor and living room.  The two tracks on offer are built from the same beat, each exploring a slightly different corner of that shuffling, post-Burial, territory. 

TrimTab (part two) is the sunnier of the two versions, while TrimTab (part one) goes deeper with the vocal weirdness. The party where either of these get dropped is likely both chill and weird. Recommended for the heads.
