Feeling the need to post up on this blog today. If you're like me, you got the summer thang goin' down - 90+ degree weather, more stuff happening than you can possibly fit into a given day, people peeling themselves out of layer after layer to reveal the inner sexy that's been hiding all winter long. There's a primal, dance till you drop feeling in the air at times like these, so whatcha gonna do about it?

If you're in NYC, tomorrow, check out Ratatat at PS 1's Warm Up event, a must see for any tru school NYer's summer. Also, every year, the museum hosts an architecture competition; the winner places an installation in the courtyard, in the middle of the Warm Up dance space. This year, the installation goes interactive; Solid Objectives - Idenburg Liu (SO - IL) created 'Pole Dance', an interconnected system of poles and bungees that, basically, you're invited to play with. Add in some delicious beer (on sale at Warm Up) and the places lax policy towards herbal remedies, and you've got yourself one of the coolest adult playgrounds in the world. Go forth and enjoy!

Sunday brings garage/UK funky pioneer Todd Edwards to the Sunday Best party in Bushwick. I haven't been to the new spot yet, so I can't comment on capacity or vibe, but Todd is a legend, hands down. If you're in town, don't sleep on this one, it's going to be one for the books.

Our fearless leader, Praveen, and his lil ole side project Sepalcure are the number one download on xlr8r today, kudos to Pdog and Travis for that one. There's some super secret stuff in the works for Sepalcure that just might blow your mind, so stay tuned!

A couple of mixes I wanted to share with you: On xlr8r, Mosca's mix from June has gotten universally positive reviews. Do yourself a favor and give it a listen.

Closer to home, we finished out our ATL State of Mind mix series with a slice of warm techno from the one like Inferno. Thanks mang, and big ups Heat Promo!

And finally, from the one and only Ninjamixdump, a gift to all the dubheads. Adrian Sherwood live at the Inputoutpost Festival, who knows when. Sooooo good.

Praveen is working on tunes this weekend, but I'm taking my ass here. So remember, wherever you are this weekend the man next to you is your brother, and you damn well better treat each other that way, cuz if you don't, we blow the whole thing. but we've got it right there. Or something like that. (Remember that one? HAHA, you're old).

Trust me, WE'VE GOT IT. You, and ME.

Peace.

sure do remember that death in vegas tune; even saw them perform it at cmj fest ('97 or '98 can't recall, attended both)... where's that wonderful bit of riverside scenery? croton-on-hudson?
