Daedelus - Live from Percussion Lab
Small_praveen
Daedelus, a Percussion Lab favorite, blends familiar sounding loops with his own guitar and wind instrument recordings. The result is an absolutely timeless jumble of emotions and textures that, at least in this case, you can definitely dance to. This set, from the Percussion Lab hosted final stop on Mush Records' Fall Tour, is definitely a body moving affair. Be sure to check his latest EP, "Throw A Fit," out on Alphapup now. Daedelus' latest LP, available on Mush Records now.

absolutely incredible mix. start to finish. genre bending, age defying. cannot stop looping this one. yeah - possibly my favourite set ever just based on the pure spontaneous energy that he's pumped into some already very fresh music. have to catch him live.

first dibs on the monome...why does that not surprise me? (lol) saw this operating that thing on xlr8r tv and it looked like it was made especially for him. other people look at that thing and think, how do you know what to do when...it's all buttons! meanwhile, brother darlington looks so natural operating the thing, almost like it's an extension of himself...

Alfred's definitely my favorite man in show business. You know he had first dibs on the original monome?

quite possibly my favorite live set on the site. just too much fun. "fair weather friends," "my beau," the way he flips the synth line from the cure's "the walk" in the beginning...just incredible.
