Liondub has been DJing roots reggae dancehall, hip-hop and jungle since 1991. Having performed and DJ'd with artists such as Damian Marley, Loefah, DJ Krush, ?uestlove & Sizzla, he's been instrumental in mapping out the points of intersection between roots reggae, dub, and electronic music. From Lovers rock to Dubwise Culture, Liondub serves it all with a skillful slice of turntablism.

I met Erik (Liondub) a while back at Halcyon here in Brooklyn and was instantly impressed by his ability to flawlessly pick & blend records from random bins around the store. Never tied to a single genre, I've heard him jump from Tempa dubstep to Liquid Sky jungle to UK Funky without skipping a beat. From his work with NYC's legendary Konkrete Jungle to his Halcyon based "Bless Up" series (which Percussion Lab is proud to be a part of), Liondub is always moving. His own label, Liondub International is currently tearing it up with their latest release from Marcus Visionary and is definitely one of our highest recommendations for labels to watch in 2010.
