This Research Report was inspired by an amazing set from Motor City Drum Ensemble at the Electric Elephant festival on a beach in Croatia last summer. Superb soulful but raw deep house with a nice techy edge was well complimented with an epic thunderstorm blazing in the distance over the islands in the Adriatic. Since then I have begun to be seduced back into the sounds of deep house... either it was that or I am just getting to be that old guy who stands at the edge of the dance floor and complains about how it was better back in the day.
