This month's featured set for Percussion Lab comes to us compliments of
Yasume. Its a gem of an old set from their
Ghent Sessions performance. It showcases Gabriel Morley's (aka Logreybeam) clever use of real and created instruments and John Twell's (aka
Xela) manipulation of subtle melodic soundscapes. It was recorded a while back, but we've recently got our hands on it over here and think its a disservice not to share this fantastic live set. Big thanks to the folks over at
Ghent Sessions for getting us the set and continuing to throw some of the best shows in all of europe!
Yasume's Lynch inspired debut album is available on the
City Centre Offices label. I highly encourage all of you to check out
Type Records, the label run by John Twells with releases by Logreybeam, Helios, RJ Valeo, Khonnor and more. Its a fantastic label for anyone interested in electronic and acoustic cinematic music.
