I first noticed Sines while digging through the nonstop output of 2 step mutations coming from L2S. These guys were on an atmospheric, gritty American Synchro tip at the time and I had no idea they were instrumental in Forman Recordings, one of my favorite labels at the time. Since then I've stayed on top of their releases, excited to see them pushing their boundaries with every record.

Straight outta the dirty south, Houston, Texas, Sines (Leroy Bella & Joseph Isla) have quickly become not just one of the busiest duos in stateside bass music but also one with an eye for talent. Responsible for Formant Recordings and a part of the infamous Gritsy Crew. Sines has spent as much time developing the talents of others as they have polishing their own low-down and diverse sounds. Check their forthcoming releases on Soul Motive, Car Crash Set and Freshmore.

The DJs that really pique our interest these days are the ones that aren't afraid to push the boundaries, as well as their own comfort zones. Kastle is exactly that. Every time I've seen this guy throw down his constantly surprising selection its been a treat.

Sonic Warfare has been running the deeper side of bass music in Amsterdam for the past four years. Increasingly pushing their boundaries into the realm of bass mutations, the night has featured artists such as Untold, Sepalcure, Loefah, Deep Medi and even a collaboration with Scuba's SUB:STANCE event. Based in the Melkweg, one of Amsterdam's best acclaimed venues, it has become an event where you can expect a quality lineup every time you pay a visit.
Their next event will take place on April 22nd and features Addison Groove's live debut on Dutch soil, Kryptic Minds and R&S / Hessle Audio up and comer Blawan.
