Spanish collective Drugstore mix our 14th podcast. An excellently compiled set of dark, stripped down techno. As producers they’ve not only released on established labels including M_REC and Naked Lunch but have also been commited to distributing their sound via the vehemently non-commercial netlabel scene. This mix includes many of these productions that form the backbone of their sound aswell as cuts from TPDC favourites Vegim, Black Smith Craft, Exium, Sub Space and Regis. Just our cup of tea, brilliant.

For this, our 13th podcast France’s Antony Dupont steps up to the turntables. An artist who looks forward but also reference techno’s past. From his robust dancefloor productions, to his DJ sets which include his own future cuts alongside present and past tracks, as with this mix which includes big hitters from Armani, Green Velvet and Laurent Garnier aswell as underground tools from the likes of Vegim and Subspace and his own stand out tracks.

TPDC012 – Billy Nasty
For our 12th podcast we are proud to present the English techno linchpin, the mighty Billy Nasty.

Billy has been a leading figure in the European scene from its early days, from his Journeys for DJs mix - the Guinness Book Of Records-listed first commercially released mix album. Always a supporter of techno, his Tortured label propelled European techno forward and became a go-to imprint for the likes of Dave Clarke and Laurent Garnier, as well as his agency Theremin supporting a roster of European talent (Adam Beyer, Marco Carola, Umek, etc), at the same time his Open to Torture were instrumental in shaping London’s techno club scene.

Never the purist, other genres have always been a part of his dj sets from early acid to electro (and his Electrix label). A producer for the likes of Music Man, Bush, and Datapunk, but most importantly anyone who’s ever been to see him DJ will testify he’s at the top of the game.
